A group of 22 M. Pharm. students of Pharmaceutics & Pharmacology Department successfully participated in a two-day Hands-On Training Program on Advanced Analytical Instrumentation & Analysis, held on April 1st and 2nd, 2026, at Robust Materials Technology Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. The program was designed to provide practical exposure to modern analytical techniques widely used in pharmaceutical, environmental, and industrial laboratories.
The training focused on building strong practical skills in key analytical instruments, including UV–Visible Spectroscopy, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Students gained valuable hands-on experience in instrument operation, sample preparation techniques, and real-time data acquisition and interpretation.
Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to fundamental analytical principles, laboratory safety practices, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards, including NABL guidelines. Live demonstrations and guided practical sessions helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world laboratory applications. Interactive sessions with experts provided deeper insights into the applications of advanced instrumentation in research and industry.
The institution extends its special thanks to Dr. Purnima Ashok, Dean (R&D), EWGI, Dr. Ravikumar K. R., Founder & Managing Director, & Dr. Rakesh K S, Scientific Officer at Robust Materials Technology Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru for their untiring efforts in coordinating and facilitating this program.
Overall, the training program proved to be highly beneficial, enhancing students’ technical competencies, confidence in handling sophisticated instruments, and readiness for careers in pharmaceutical and analytical research sectors. Participants were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the program.
