NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of East West College of Pharmacy organized the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan awareness programme on 13th August, 2025. The programme aimed to create awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse and motivate youth to adopt a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle. E-pledge and pledge taking ceremony was a part of the event where, faculty members, NSS volunteers and students took a solemn pledge to actively support the Nasha Mukt Bharat by staying away from substance abuse and spreading awareness in their communities. This pledge reinforced the collective responsibility towards building a drug free society. A major highlight of the event was a street play performed by NSS volunteers of EWCP, depicting the causes, consequences, and preventive measures of drug addiction. The engaging performance drew the attention of students and the public, delivering a strong message on saying “No to Drugs” through impactful dialogues and realistic scenarios. This initiative is a part of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign, encouraging communities to take a stand against substance abuse through education, awareness drives, and active participation. The event reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible citizens and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers made the event a resounding success
