NATIONAL PHARMACOVIGILANCE WEEK 2024

As part of the National Pharmacovigilance Week 2024, East West College of Pharmacy hosted a session titled “Building ADR Reporting Culture for Patient Safety” on 23rd September 2024. The event highlighted the critical role of adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting in enhancing patient safety across healthcare systems.

The guest speaker, Dr. Meena V, Junior PV Associate at IGICH & NIMHANS, Bengaluru, under the Pharmacovigilance Program of India (PvPI), delivered an insightful talk on fostering a robust ADR reporting culture. Dr. Meena emphasized the importance of pharmacovigilance in preventing medication errors and ensuring effective drug safety monitoring.

The event served as a valuable platform for students and faculty to engage in discussions about ADR reporting practices and reinforced the commitment to patient safety in clinical settings.
