WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY

On May 17th 2022, the NSS committee of EWCP in partnership with UNICEF India celebrated World Hypertension Day, a day dedicated to highlight the importance of monitoring blood pressure and bringing awareness to the people about blood pressure by conducting free blood pressure and blood sugar screening camp at the local park nearby (BBMP Park, Bharathnagar).

Team Shourya took the initiation followed by participation of entire team of NSS volunteers. The programme started with a rally from college premises covering Anjananagar and the local parks and displayed various placards and slogans like:

“Right Medicine at right Time Normal BP Every time”

This included free blood pressure and blood sugar screening camp, organized in the evening. Almost 200 people benefited by this free screening camp. NSS volunteers tried their best to counsel the patients about the food and other habits to be opted in their daily lifestyle to maintain good control of blood pressure as well as blood sugar.
