BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM

Pharmacy Practice department of East West College of Pharmacy organized an awareness program entitled “Need of the Hour: Breast Cancer Awareness Program” on 21st November 2023. Dr. Mallika Natraj, a distinguished expert in surgical breast oncology from Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, led an engaging session. This session, dedicated to the female faculty members of the East West Group of Institutions, aimed to illuminate the significance of early detection, empowering the participants with knowledge crucial for their health and well-being.

Dr. Mallika Natraj emphasized the importance of self-examination in early breast cancer detection, delving into comprehensive details. The session covered the nuances of self-examination techniques. The event concluded with a sense of awareness and commitment among the participants to prioritize regular self-examination practices for early detection and effective management of breast cancer.
