WORLD HEART DAY CELEBRATION

On the occasion of World Heart Day, East West College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with Sagar Hospitals, organized an event at Christ University, Bangalore on 30th September 2024. The event featured insightful discussions about cardiovascular health, aimed at spreading awareness about heart diseases and preventive measures.

The speaker, Dr. Dwijendra Prasad, Senior consultant from Sagar Hospitals, Jayanagar, delivered a talk titled “Heart-to-Heart.” His session highlighted critical statistics, including the rising global mortality due to cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in young adults. He also addressed the risk factors associated with heart diseases and the importance of preventive care.

In addition to the informative talk, Pharm. D. interns organized interactive games for the audience, blending entertainment with educational insights about heart health. The event successfully engaged participants and promoted heart care awareness in a lively and energetic atmosphere.

The collaboration between East West College of Pharmacy, Sagar Hospitals, and Christ University exemplified the importance of community health initiatives in promoting awareness and raising better lifestyles.
