NSS ORIENTATION DAY- PARIVARTHANE 2022

East West College of Pharmacy organized NSS orientation day in the name of Parivarthane 2022 at Sir M.V. Seminar Hall on 13th May 2022.

The agenda of orientation day was to enrol NSS volunteers as well as NSS teacher coordinator for the project that the NSS Karnataka in partnership with UNICEF has assigned. The event was also to know about the main motto of the project, the activities to be carried out during this process and to introduce the various groups of volunteers formed by NSS EWCP.

The programme started by welcoming the guests, followed by watering the plant (an initiative that is opted by NSS). Mrs. Poornima Jogi, NSS coordinator Karnataka, Dr Shivaraj Gowda, Medical Director Shantha Hospital, Mr Sriramlu, President of Lions club (Bengaluru South) and Mr Ravikumar R.G, Police inspector Byadarahalli were the guests for the event.

NSS Unit of EWCP had designed the four groups of volunteers:

  • Team ASTHA: Dedicated to create awareness about immunization.
  • Team GNANA: Dedicated to create awareness about Anemia in Children and pregnant women.
  • Team AMRITHA: Dedicated to eradicate malnutrition and creating awareness.
  • Team SHOURYA: Dedicated for creating awareness about the health problems of geriatrics.

The programme was very interactive and had given a new ray of hope to budding pharmacists for a vision towards social work.
