On February 4, 2023, World Cancer Day, the Department of Pharmacy Practice, East West College of Pharmacy hosted a webinar entitled “Cancer Awareness, Close the Care Gap.” The speaker was Dr. M Munireddy, a surgical oncologist at Sagar Hospitals in Jayanagar. Following greetings from Ms. Habeebunnisa, V Pharm D, Ms. Athira M M, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, introduced the speaker and Ms. Swapna Barhai, Pharm D Intern, gave an introduction to the importance of the day. The speaker delivered a fantastic presentation on cancer awareness, cancer prevention methods, and teen lifestyle changes. The meeting came to a close with Ms. G Vedavathi Sai’s vote of gratitude.
